Respect others, and you will receive respect in return

Once upon a time. Two brahmins studied together in the Gurukul. Later on, all four chose different subjects for Acharya level education. One chose astrology and the other chose rituals.
There was a friendship between them but everyone had a habit of complaining about each other behind their backs. Which is called Paishunya. All were residents of nearby villages. All of them left for their village after the completion of their education.

In the olden times, most of the people used to travel on foot. The wanderers used to carry pathey and take rest in a nearby village in the evening. Both of them had left the Gurukul together. Seeing the twilight, the learned Brahmins decided to stay with a merchant from a nearby village.

Vaniya welcomed them both. One by one Vipra Kumar started welcoming him with bathing etc. When the Brahmins were taking bath by the astrologers, the Banias asked about the wisdom and nature of the Acharya Brahmins by rituals. Brahmin Kumar had the habit of Paishunya, so told about the other Brahmin that "he is a donkey, he is a madman".
Again, in order to bathe another Brahmin Kumar, he asked about the astrologer. The ritualistic Brahmin called his fellow Brahmin a bull. Because he used to say more like a bull.

Now that businessman arranged for both of them to sleep in the cattle shed after lunch. The one whom the bull heard about was forced to sleep with the oxen and the one whom the donkey heard about was forced to sleep with the donkey. The Brahmin kumars thought that it is possible that this bania does not have a guest room, due to which he was helpless and made us sleep in the cattle shed.

On waking up in the morning, after retiring from the bath, the bania asked to find out the reason for this, then the bania replied. You two told me very well about each other. Now the donkey and the bull cannot be put to sleep in the guest room.

Summary : Paishunya is very reprehensible. If we respect someone, we get respect. If you complain, you get a complaint. Great men say - If you want to be proud of yourself, then glorify others. You won't need to brag with your mouth, people will brag to you.

praise other and get praise
