This is a very long story. In the country of India, about five thousand years ago, there lived a boy named Eklavya, the son of a tribal chief in the forests of Hastinapur state. Eklavya was a brave and handsome boy. Everyone loved him . But he was not happy.
His father saw Eklavya somewhat upset . More than once he found his son lost in deep thought, while the other boys were enjoying the pleasures of hunting and playing. One day the father asked his son, Eklavya, why are you living so sad? Why don't you join your friends? Why are you not showing any interest in hunting?
Eklavya said father! I want to be an archer, I want to become a disciple of the great Dronacharya, the great teacher of archery in Hastinapur. His Gurukul is a magical place where even ordinary boys are transformed into mighty warriors .
Eklavya saw that his father was silent. He continued his talk and said, Father, I know that we belong to the hunter tribe, but I do not want to be a mere hunter but a skilled warrior.
So allow me to leave the house so that I can become a disciple of Dronacharya.
Eklavya's father was upset, as he knew that his son's ambition was not that easy. The chief of the clan was a loving father and he did not want to turn down the wishes of his only son. So that kind Bhil blessed his son Eklavya and sent Drona on his way to Gurukul. Eklavya went on his way. Soon he reached the part of the forest where Drona used to teach the princes of Hastinapur.
In those days, there was no such system in the form of schools, colleges, universities or hostels. A Gurukul was the only place where some education could be found. A gurukula (guru refers to "teacher" or "guru", kula refers to his domain, derives from the Sanskrit word kula meaning "extended family") were ancient Indian schools that were residential and where the guru and disciple were united. They used to live together in the same house. Gurukul was a place where all the students, regardless of their social status, lived together, they were all equal. The students used to learn from the Guru and go through the day to day life. They also helped the guru in tasks such as washing clothes, cooking, etc.
Having said this, now we come back to Eklavya. When the boy Eklavya reached the Gurukul of Dronacharya , he saw that there was a group of huts, an archery yard and it was surrounded by trees on all sides. The disciples were practicing to shoot arrows in the yard with their bows and arrows. It was a wonderful sight. But Eklavya's eyes were searching Drona. Where is he? Will he be able to see them?
Without Drona, all his purposes of coming here would be meaningless. But all his worries soon subsided. He didn't have to wait long. There a man standing near the tree was distressed to learn a boy, he was none other than Arjuna, the third Pandava prince, that Eklavya later came to know. Although Eklavya had never seen Drona before, he took his guesswork out of this work. He went to Drona and bowed down and bowed down. The sage was surprised to see a strange boy and asked while addressing him. Who are you?
"Dronacharya, I am Eklavya, the son of the chief of the tribe in the western part of the forests of Hastinapur." Eklavya replied. "Please accept me as your disciple and teach me the wonderful art of archery."
Drona said "Eklavya... If you are a tribal hunter, then surely you are a Shudra, who is in the lowest social community according to the Vedic caste system. I am a Brahmin of the highest caste in the state.
He said that I cannot teach archery to a Shudra boy. "And he is also a royal teacher," said Prince Arjuna in between. "Our guru has been appointed by the king to train the children of the princes and the nobles. How dare you come inside the gurukul and do grace to Acharya Drona. Arjuna asked him to leave, looking like this from his behavior As if his practice is being hindered by Eklavya.
Eklavya was stunned at Arjuna's behaviour. He himself was the son of the chief of his clan, but he never insulted anyone in this way. He looked to Drona for his support, but the sage remained silent. The message was loud and clear. Dronacharya also wanted to leave him. He refused to teach her.
The innocent tribal boy was deeply hurt by Drona's refusal. "This is not correct!" He thought humbly. "God has given knowledge to all, but how man separates him."
He left that Gurukul with a broken heart and with a bitter taste in his mouth. But that could not shatter his ambition to learn archery. She was still determined to learn archery in that form. He said that I want to become an archer.
"I may be a Shudra but it doesn't matter?" He thought. "I too am as strong and full of vigor as the princes and disciples of Drona. If I practice everyday, I can certainly become an archer."
Eklavya reached his own forest and took some mud from a river. He has made an idol of Dronacharya at a selected place in a deserted clearing in the forests. Because he sincerely believed that he would become a capable archer if he practiced in front of his guru, Eklavya did the same. Thus, although his master had abandoned him, he still held him in high esteem and worshiped him as his guru and received education.
Each day he would take his bow and arrow and start his practice by worshiping the idol of Drona. Timely faith, courage and perseverance transformed a mere tribal hunter like Eklavya into an extraordinary archer. Eklavya became an archer of extraordinary skill, even becoming a better archer than Drona's best student, Arjuna.
One day while Eklavya was practicing, he heard a dog barking. At first he ignored the dog, but the constant disturbance in the exercise caused by the dog annoyed him. He stopped his practice and went to the place from where the barking of the dog was coming. Before the dog stopped barking and went on his way, Eklavya swiftly stuffed seven arrows one by one into his mouth without injuring the dog. As a result, he started walking in the forest with his mouth open.
But Eklavya was not alone in his practice. The fact of saying that just at a distance, the Pandava chief was also present in that area of the forest, Eklavya was unaware of. Luckily, he had come that day with his teacher Drona. He was instructing them about some nuances of archery in the real life condition of open jungle.
As he was busy with his practice, he suddenly saw a dog with a mouth full of arrows that could be drawn one by one from the main dog. He was surprised to see such achievement of archery. Drona was also surprised. "Such excellent archery can only be performed by a mighty archer." He told the Pandavas that he would definitely like to meet such a good archer. The exercise was stopped and the search for the forest was started for who is behind such a wonderful achievement. They found a man in dark skin in a black dress, his body was dirty and his hair was curly. It was a singularity. Dronacharya went to him.
"Your aim is truly impeccable and remarkable!" Drona praised Eklavya, and asked, "From whom did you learn archery?" Eklavya was thrilled after hearing the praise from Drona. How would he be surprised if he told Drona that he was actually his guru. "You Gurudev! You are my Guru," replied Eklavya humbly.
"Your guru? How can I be your guru? I've never seen you before!" Drona said in surprise. But suddenly he remembered something. Several months ago a curious boy had visited his Gurukul and remembered about it. "Now I remember," he said. "You are the same hunter boy whom I refused to enter my Gurukul a few months back?"
"The boy said, yes, Dronacharya". "After you left your Gurukul I came home and made an idol like you and worshiped it every day. I used to practice in front of your image. You refused to teach me, but your idol did not refuse. Thanks to doing this, I became a good archer."
Hearing this, Arjun got angry. Accusing Drona, Arjun said "But you promised me that you would make me the best archer in the world!" "How can this be now? Now a common hunter has become better than me!"
Other princes praised Arjuna , saying that he had immense talent and would be the greatest archer in the kingdom . His guru often used to say . They waited with bated breath . _ _ _ _ What will their teachers do now ?

" Dronacharya , I will be the happiest person on earth by serving you . Whatever you ask of me as your Guru Dakshina , I will offer you at your service , " he said . " I can ask you something that you would not like to give . Dronacharya asked cleverly what would happen when I ask you for something and you refuse to give . _

The prince was stunned to see Eklavya 's bravery . But the tribal boy showed no signs of pain , and dedicated his severed thumb to Dronacharya . _ _ _ _

But he was satisfied that the promise he had made to Arjuna was not broken . The gods gave away Eklavya . _ _ Blessed more and more .
But despite the disability , Eklavya continued to practice archery . How can he do that ? _ When a man is devoted , he can bow even the mountains like a bow . _ With practice , Eklavya gets used to shooting arrows with his index and middle finger . And he became a great archer . _ _ _ His fame spread far and wide . _ When Drona came to know of this , she came and blessed him silently and begged for divine forgiveness
