Short Stories: The Humble Camel and the Arrogant Mouse

The haughty camel and the conceited mouse

Once upon a time, a camel and a mouse who were the best of friends lived in a jungle. The camel was extremely modest, whereas the mouse was quite pompous. The humble nature of the camel benefited the mouse, who was driven wherever he pleased. The mouse was as small as the camel's nose, but he could carry him everywhere he went, which astounded all other animals.

In order to avoid upsetting his small pal, the lowly camel followed him without protesting. The mouse was very content since he believed himself to be better than the camel, which is much larger than him. The mouse thought highly of himself. "What a powerful and intelligent beast I am. I can travel anywhere on a camel, the mouse reasoned.

The meek camel, however, took note of the mouse's haughty attitude. The camel was enraged by the mouse's pampered and haughty attitude and decided to teach the mouse a lesson. The mouse was taken by the camel by a river. The mouse was frightened when he saw the river.

The camel exclaimed, "My good friend, the great mouse!" "brave mouse who led me over the mountains and forests! You are my leader; lead the way, and I will follow. "The camel told the mouse.

I can't swim in this deep of water. I can't swim in it," the mouse declared. To demonstrate the water depth, the camel stepped into the river. The water level reached the knees of the camel.

"Do you find this shallow water frightening? It brings me to my knees," the camel declared.

Your knees are significantly higher than mine. I am quite small compared to you. For me, the water up to your knees is a sea, the mouse remarked.

"So why are you acting so haughtily? Why do you think you're better than everyone else? Because you are a friend of mine, I followed you. I wanted to avoid hurting you. It's not due of your strength or intelligence. Don't be so arrogant, the camel said.

The mouse acknowledged his error and expressed regret. He never forgot the lesson he took away from it.
